Everyone knows that one sure way to make money in the stock market is to buy a stock and sell it at a higher price than you bought it. In other words, “buy low – sell high.” The real trick is how to do that. Wall Street Monkey is a system of investing that takes advantage of cyclical volatility in the stock market. WSM examines every stock traded on the three major U.S. stock exchanges for a very particular and carefully selected set of criteria. WSM uses this formula to identify stocks that are “low” and candidates to buy in the “buy low – sell high” system. The analysis for each stock uses a customized version of the well known channeling method to identify the range where a stock should be trading (and usually trades) and to flag when the stock makes a significant deviation and is expected to make a significant correction back to its norm.
WSM is not interested in any stock that just takes a big tumble and is down a lot. There are plenty of those. WSM seeks out those that are “cyclical” in their deviations from their norm. In other words, if a stock makes deviations from its norm, but only in one direction (either up or down), then you can’t buy it low and sell it high. WSM finds stocks that deviate down and then deviate back up. The exact formula WSM uses is proprietary, but when you look at the charts that WSM displays, you will understand their value immediately.
If you are well versed and experienced in the stock market, then these charts will be of great value to you in selecting your stocks. You can use the information WSM shows you as a starting point to use these unique stocks with many different strategies besides “buy low – sell high”. WSM also identifies stocks that have deviated high and are ready to sell. You can do short sells on these stocks. You can also use the charts to follow a stock’s cyclability to use it for trading options.
If you don’t know much about the stock market, but wished you did so that you could participate in the profits to be had – then WSM is for you. WSM tells you exactly when to buy a stock and exactly when to sell it. It is that simple if you would like it to be. WSM is an opportunity to for folks to make money trading stocks without being a stock market expert.
WSM is interested in short-term profits. The formula is geared towards finding stocks that will give you a profit in a short amount of time. How short? Well, that varies. Many times I have bought a stock and sold it the next day for a significant profit. Other times I have had to hold a stock for 4 or 5 months before I could take a significant profit. Occasionally the monkey picks a rotten banana and I take a loss. (VERY occasionally). If pressed, however, I would say the average WSM stock will turn around in 2 weeks to 2 months.
WSM is all about taking profits. If a stock position you hold is profitable, it is always OK to sell it and move on. Don’t hang on to a position looking for a 20% profit. It is far easier to take a 5% profit 4 times than it is to take a 20% profit one time. Don’t be greedy. Take small profits. BUT TAKE A WHOLE BUNCH OF THEM REAL QUICK!
For example, “How should you diversify your portfolio?” or “What percentage of your investment funds should you use in WSM?” These are money management decisions and are strictly up to you. WSM shows you how to generate profits; not what to do with them.
WSM does NOT even tell you what stock to buy (unless you want it to). It gives you valuable information that allows you to make your own decisions.
WSM does NOT give advice on investing. WSM provides you with information that you can use to make your own decisions. WSM has a blog section where you can see what we or our subscribers are doing and take ideas from that if you wish.
WSM is NOT a trading platform or brokerage. You must open your own stock trading account with your own brokerage.
WSM uses Nina. Nina is an imaginary monkey. She doesn’t know how to read; therefore she doesn’t do any fundamental research on the stocks she picks. Before you buy a stock Nina recommends, do some basic research. Such as, make sure the company is not about to go bankrupt or is not about to be de-listed from its exchange. If you have any of your own personal, pet criteria, by all means check it out.
WSM is NOT a gambling operation for those who desperately need money to solve their financial problems. In fact, if you can’t afford to lose the money you invest using WSM information, then, please don’t use our system. There are several reasons for this. WSM does occasionally pick a loser. You may even be unfortunate enough to string a couple of losers together. You must be able to weather a couple losses and keep on going. WSM is a systematic strategy as well a stock picker. You must stick with the strategy for WSM to work for you. If you are panicky about taking a loss or don’t sleep well when your stock is down, then you will tend towards emotional trading. This is dangerous, gets away from the system and eliminates WSM’s advantages.
WSM is all about NOT being greedy and waiting for the “big one”. So, WSM does not buy at the low and sell at the high. No system can know these in real time. In order to generate a lot of short term profits, WSM buys above the low and sells below the high. It hits the middle ground. So, it is not infrequent that during the time you own the stock, the stock price is below where you bought it. This fact must not scare you. You must be able to wait patiently and without anxiety for the stock to go back up into a profitable range.
In summation, if you follow the WSM strategy and buy and sell WSM’s stocks at its indicated prices, WSM will give you many short term capital gains. (It will occasionally give you a short term capital loss.) If you feel like asking what is WSM’s profit to loss ratio over a given time period, then look at the chart of winners versus losers on the home page. Each day Nina looks back 10 months. She gives you the numbers of winning picks versus losing picks using her system. You should know that this is historical data and that future events may unfold quite differently. However, there is one old saying that I have modified to fit my own experiences and is quite valuable. "If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck... It might not be a duck... But it probably is."
